CARS
June 7 Feature Car is a 1957 Chevy
and the owner is Ron Watkins. Ron's 57 runs a 383 stroker motor hooked to a 700R4 tranny and spinning the gears in a 9
inch rear end. This in turn rolls the Boyd Coddington wheels which can be stoped by a set of Wildwood brakes. Steering is
acomplished by rack and pinion via a tilt steering column. It also has power everything so Ron stays comfy will creasing the
pavement. Nice ride.
May 17 Feature Car belongs to John
and Maria Dill. John and Maria picked this little scorchin red 23 T three years ago. The T is motovated by a 1956 265 Vette
engine with a 4bbl Edlebrock pushing power through a TH 350 to the rear wheels. John says it is fun to drive and I bet
it is too.
May 4 Feature Car is a 1993 Greenwood Corvette
that belongs to Perry Bailey. Perry's Vette is a little different from what you normally see. It has an LT1 350ci rated
at 300 horses which is plenty for spinning the wheels but what makes it different is the Greenwood ground effects package.
The ground effects surpass the normal mean looks of the Vette and with the black paint creeps over to the sinister side.
May 3 Feature Car belongs to Michael McKenna who happens to be stationed at Mainside with the Navy.
Michael's ride is a 2007 Corvette C6 Z51. With 400 horse power, a series of up grades and the Z51 performance package
Michael can pretty well get to where he wants to quickly.
April 19 Feature Car is a 1959 Cadillac
Eldorado Biarritz and it belongs to Tom and Donna Notaro. This is an unrestored numbers matching beauty Is powered by
a 365ci/ 335hp V8 with tri-power with factory air. You can't beat that for a cruiser.
April 12 Feature Car number 2 is a 1955 Belair 2 door post car that
belongs to Diane Van Leer.
April 12 Feature Car is actually
two different cars owned by two different ladies. The first one belongs to Mary Turner and it is a 1969 Pontiac GTO.
April 05 Feature Car is a 1967 Mercury
Cougar. Tony and Heike Farmer are the proud owners of this baby. They found it while on vacation and had to go back for it.
It runs a 289, the original motor is in their garage getting freshened up, C4 combo and the interior is original. It
purrrrs like the kitten it is with only 77,000 miles on it and is one model you don't see very often. GREAT FIND!!!
March 22 Feature Car is a 1995
Pontiac Firebird to Scott & Brenda Putriment. This snow white Firebird runs a 3.4 Liter V-6 and only had 31,000 Miles
on it when thay found it. It still has less than 40G on it and is all origanal.
March 15 Feature Car is a 1966 Chevy truck and it belongs to Ken Lowery. Ken has recently had almost
everything underneath rebuilt or replaced and with the reliable 292 it should give Ken many years of care free driving.
It is a fine example of Bowtie ingenuity and is totaly stock.
February 16 Feature Car belongs to
Jack & Glenora McWilliams. This moredoor white on red beauty is a restored stocker and it has the factory 6 in it.
The paint was splashed on by the folks a Lawless Hot Rods. This is one clean grocery gitter.
February 09 Feature Car is a magenta 1973 Chevy Nova that belongs to Stephanie Webb. Stephanie's Nova sports a 350/350 combo for reliability.
The bored 40 over mouse motor is topped with a 670 Holley Street Avenger mounted to a Edelbrock RPM intake. The Master Crafts
mounted on Weld Wheels are spun by a 411 posi rear end and motorvates the Nova quite well.
February 2 Feature Car is a 1968 Ford
Mustang and it belongs to Bill Robillard. Bill is only the second owner of this little white beauty and he has owned
it for 35 years. From the 289 and C4 tranny all the way back to the 8 inch rear end it is all stock. Bill puts alot of
miles on his little pony and after 35 years he plans on putting on many more miles.
January 5 Feature Car belongs to Glen
("Slick") Freeman. One of several 32s he owns this one just happens to be my favorite. It is powered by a 350 that
breaths in through an Eldelbrock carb and intake and out thru a set of Sandersen headers and is bolted to a turbo 400 followed
up by a Ford 9 inch rear end. It was built at Timeless Rods in Lula, Georgia. Hows that Slick, did I do alright???
December 29 Feature Car is a real 1967
Mustang GTA and it belongs to Donnie Carlise. Donnie saved this beautiful Candy Red GTA from the bone yard
when it was not so beautiful. As a matter of fact most people would have let it go the the bone yard But donnie saw the GTA
emblem and bought it. It sports a Hipo 289?C4 combo and 8inch rear end and It rides on a set of crager five spokes.
Great job Donnie. Picture to come.
November 24 Feature car is a 1951 Ford
Custom and it belongs to Shirley Rising. This GM Emerald Green cruiser sports a reliable 302/C4 combo pushing a stock
rearend. The whole package rides on white walls with Ford Moons. Shirley got it Monday and says it is going to be alot of
fun.
November 17 Feature Car is a 1989
C4 Vette with an 240 horse L98 350 and a first year 6 speed manual tranny. This little beauty belongs to David Bass and
David loves to drive and show his baby as often as possible so when you see that red streek go by don't worry, it's
just David.
November 10 Feature Car Belongs to
Marty Best. Marty owns a 1929 Ford model "A" Cabriolet. Backing up a 327 and a three speed manual tranny is a Ford
9 inch rear end and it all rides on a set of chrome steelies and baby moons.
October 20 Feature Car is a 1966
Nova SS and it belongs to Ed Lewis. Ed's ride has 555 inches of nitrous fed big block for motorvation that gets to
the ground via 400 trans and 9in Ford rearend to the M/T PRO-Street tires on Aluma-Stars Wheels suppended
on 4 links. Ed rides comfortably in Kirky Pro-Street Buckets and a Heidt's front end keeps him going in a straight
line. This just may be "The Mouse That Roared".
October 13 Feature Car is a 1968
Plymouth Satellite Sport that was the JEGS catalog cover car in 1991 and it belongs to Flamin Jack and Paula Taylor.
It runs a 440 HP spining a 4500 stall converter in a TCI tranny with a reverse manual valve body connected to 456
gears in the rear. The body is fully tubbed and flamed to go.
October 6 Feature Car is a 2007 Ford Mustang GT/CS and it belongs to Ray and Vernetta
Schroder. More info to come, we got rained on.
September 29 Feature Car belongs to
Ken Lowery and is a Torch Red 1993 LT1. Powered by a 5.7-liter (350 for you traditional folk) rated at 300 ponys kicking through
an automatic trany Ken gets where he is going pretty quick.
September 22 Feature car is a 1923 "T" Bucket that belongs to Rob and Sarah
Boothe. With 300 horses in that 350ci Chevy engine topped with an Edelbrock 4bbl carb and hooked to a 350 turbo
auto trans and 8" rear end driving those fat tires. Looks like fun to me.
September 15 Feature Car belongs to
Edsel and Pat Ward. With mile deep black paint this is one sweet 40 Ford Deluxe Coupe. The 40 gets it's power from a nicely
dressed 327 pushing a 10 bolt rear through a 350 tranny and riding on a set of Kelly tires wraped around wire wheels
with a set of Ford logo spinners. Like I said, sweet.
September 08 Feature Car is a 1966 Fairlane that belongs
to Charlie Owens. This little sweety is powered by a HiPo 289 with a C4 tranny pushing a 9 inch rearend. It rides on a set
of Crager five spoke mags wraped in BF Goodrich tires. Charlie says he has a few more Fords at home.
August 11 Feature Car is a 1971 Ford
Torino GT that was special ordered by Doyle Jackson and is still in his care today. It sports a 351 Cleveland motor with a
C6 tranny pushing a 9 inch rear end with 250 gears. It took 9 weeks and 3 days for Doyle to receive his dream car but on Nov
20, 1970 it came and that was 37 years ago.
August 04 Feature Car Belongs to Chuck
Wardwell. Chucks ride is a yellow flamed 1937 Chevy 5 Window Coupe the he has owned for 4 years. It gets its push from a 406
backed by TH400 and spining a 10 bolt 308 geared rear end. Chuck points it in the right direction with a Mustang
rack and has AC to keep him cool while crusing.
July 28 Feature car is a 1966 Ford
Galaxie 500 and it belongs to Pete & Stella Alford. This sweet pale yellow ride rockets along thanks to a Police Interceptor
352 FE motor. Except for the chrome wheels and caps and a few other small things it is a stock beauty.
July 21 Feature Car is a white
1972 Buick Riviera owned by Jerry "The Voice" Mixon. The Riv, known as a Vette on steroids, is powered by a 260
hp 455 breathing through a 4bbl backed by an automatic tranny.
July 7 Feature Car is a 1957 Ford Custom
that belongs to JC Johnson. One of several that JC owns, it runs a 351 Windsor Stroker motor and T5 5 speed overdrive tranny
with 4/11 traction lock 9" rear end. It has 4 wheel disc brakes to stop the big 19" wheels and rack and pinion steering.
A Ford Man through and through.
June 30 Feature Car belongs to Bill Phillips and his wife. It is a 1964 1/2 Mustang
that they bought new. It runs a 289 with lots of extra chrome and a 3 speed standard tranny so she can row through the
gears. It sports a Vintage Air system for cool and a Sony sound system for boom or easy listening and a set of optional Mustang
rims.
June 23 Feature Car belongs to Ethan
Waters. Ethan is a new member and owns a YELLOW 1975 Corvette Stingray. This sweet little Vette has the old reliable
350/350 engine/ trans set up and it rides on the Vette aluminun spot rims that came from the factory as an option wraped in
Uniroyal Tiger Paws. Ethan plans on a little sprucing up in the future.
June16 Feature Car Belongs to Joe
& Tamara Teer. Their car is a 2005 Mustang Boss Shinoda named Banana Baby and was upgraded at Shinoda Perfomance right
here in the local area. It has so many up grades and I lost my notes. Sorry Tammy I will find them or get a new list from
Joe. Tammy does let Joe wash it for her and I think I even saw him driving it once while she was out of town.
June 2 Feature car is a black
1939 Buick Special and it belongs to Gene Casey. This sweet ride is a Series 40 with 248 cubes of straight eight pumping out
a merciless 107 horses power. It rides on Silvertown bias ply white wall tires and Gene tells me that is was the first model
automobile to have factory installed turn indicators. Very cool ride and well done too!
May 26 Feature car belongs to Bill Phillips. It is a Burgandy 1934 Ford Five Window Coupe
with a tweed interior. It has an Edelbrock carb on the Chevrolet 350 that is hooked to a turbo 350 tranny. A Ford 8.8 spins
a set of Crager 5 spokes to get it all rolling. It has 3907 miles since Bill had it redone.
May 19 Feature car belongs to Geno
Graham. Geno owns a black on black 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 with a twist. The twist is a 1970 402. Geno plans to freshen
it up with a new paint job along with a few other change in the future so stayed tuned.
May 12 Feature car belongs to Gailen
David. Gailens ride is a 1963 Chevrolet Impala 409 SS in red and they just don't come any cleaner or striaghter.
Gailen has owned this car for 11 years and has put on all the finishing touches. The famous in song 409 is totally spotless
and purs like a kitten. It is so clean you could almost eat off it but Gailen said get away from his baby. Job well done!
May 5 Feature Car belongs to Eddie
Hillman. This righteous ride a Venetian Peacock Blue 1960 Plymouth Belvedere. Eddy put in a 1972 360 with a 727 Torque Flight
tranny and an 8 3/4 rear end. It also has a vintage Air system for cooling down the cabin, disc brakes for stoping power and
it rides on KMC wheels with BFG rubber.
April 28 Feature Car belongs to Ray Sullivan. Rays ride is a Medow Green 1971 Chevy Custom
10 pickup with a 350/turbo 400 combo pushing a 12 bolt rear end and riding on Laramie Performer HP tires on stock rims. Ray
did a complete frame off restoration and reassembled it with stainless steel hardware and plenty of powder coating. I think
the hubcaps say it all.
April 21 Feature Car belongs to Cruiser Bruce Crosby. Bruce
has owned this beeeeutiful 1970 Dodge RT with a 440 6 pak and a 323 Suregrip rear end for three years. That dangerous
looking color is Mango Orange and it only has 1500 miles on it since he restored it.
April 7 Feature Car belongs to Johnny Beech. Johnny came over from Mobile, AL and styled us in his Beeeeeutiful
1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe. It sports a 350/350 combo and has Mustang II steering and a Mustang rear end and rides on Kumo
tires wrapped around a set of American Torque Thrust II wheels. That red paint is House of Colors "Blue Blood".
Go figure.
March31 Feature Car belongs to Sam
Archer. It is a 1955 Belair Post Sedan and runs a 350 with a Muncie 4 speed tranny toped with a Hurst shifter. The rear
has 373 gears that spin two of the four Torque Thrust II wheels shod with Bridgestone tires. He says it makes him feel good
and it is easy to see why.
March 24 Feature Car belongs to Gilbert
Ziel. Gilbert owns an Inca Gold 1957 Ford Thunderbird powered by a 4 barrel topped 302 with a C4 tranny behind it. That
is Gilbert in the white shirt. the others are just enjoying the Show N Shine.
March 17 Feature Car belongs
to Butch Adams. Butch owns a very clean 1932 High Boy.This little beauty is powered by the venerable Chevy 350 small block
pushing a 9' rear end. Photo to come
March 10 Feature Car belongs to Tom Donnelly. Tom has owned this rare 1940 Mecury Convertable
for two years. It is painted in a nice Porche Red with Camal colored interior and it only has 500 miles on the speedo. Power
is derived via a 350/350 Chevy combo.
March 3 Feature Car belongs to
Richard Spry. Richard built this beautiful blue 40 Ford Sedan himself including great paint job. The car has the reliable
Chevy 350/350 combo and a Ford 9 inch rearend.
February 24 Feature Car belongs to Roger Brandt. Roger collected parts for 15 years to build one the
old fassion way. It has a Schofield Over Head Valve Conversion, a pair of Stromburg 97s and juice brakes. Way to go Roger
February 17 Feature Car belongs to Don Stroud. Don owns a 1958 Chevy Delray. It has a 350/4 speed for
power and this maroon beauty rides on American Racing Wheels.
February 10 Feature Car belongs to
Jim Robert. It is a 1957 Chevy Belair 2 door Sedan with a 283 Power Pack with 86,000 origanal miles and matching numbers
all around.
Ferurary 3rd Feature Car belongs Tim Hopwood. It is a 1955 Chevy 210. The body was kept stock with
the addition Wheels and a 350. Tim has had this car for 12 years. He got it when he was 17. Pretty good for a Young Gun.
January 20 Feature Car belongs to Jerry
Dawson. It is a 1970 Chevelle SS with a 425 horse 454 CI Big Block. It inhales via a Holley 750 Street Avenger and exhales
through Hooker ceramic coated headers into a 2
½ in. exhaust with a pair of 40 series FlowMaster’s.
January 13 Feature Car belongs to Leah
Pittman. It is a 1999 Corvette Coupe , 5.7 liter sequential fuel injection V8 Limited production Nassau Blue
Metallic, with chrome wheels. It's all stock except for the vertical door kit that allows the doors to open normally
or lift up for show.
23 December Feature car belongs to Jeff Newport. It is a black 1963 Chevy II SS Nova with a 327/Powerglide
combo riding on Weld Wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. Jeff showed me a trunk full of Go-Fast Power Goodies
in the trunk that will soon be on the 327. Hope to see them soon.
16 December Feature car belongs to
John "Doc' Pilotte and Melissa "Meaux" Mitchell. It is a 1966 Cadillac Lowrider with a 429 Caddy engine
backed by a turbo 400.
09 December Feartue Car belongs
to Cruiser Lynn Jenkins. It is a mostly stock 1969 Camaro with a 350/700R4 combo, 12 bolt posi and American Racing Wheels.
02 December Feature Car
is owned by Bill Bass. It is a bone stock original 1976 Ford Thunderbird with a 460ci engine. There are only 9 known to still
exsist.
25 November Feature car belongs
to Al & Martha Baglione. It is a1951 Mercury Coupe that was built 10 years ago. The Bagliones have owned it for two. It
has a 350/350 combo, severely lowered lid and a hand fabed grill done by Al.
18 November Feature car is owned by Robert Osteen. Robert owns a Dodge Bros. 1936 Pickup with a blown
350ci rat motor, Mustang rack and pinion steering and front suspension, auto tranny and air for comfort.
11 November Feature car is owned by
Rocky Vowell and Mary Turner. It is a fire red 1961 Impala with a 283 motor, Air Ride suspension and 20' Centerline Wheels
with skinny rubber.
4 November Feature Car is owned by David Schwartz. It is a highly customized 1968 Camaro with a
540 horse fuel injected 502ci, 5 speed tranny, Ford 9' rearend with 4 link suspension and too many more mods to list.
